Common questions

A recipe link didn't save

Fridge Panda reads recipes from TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube. Links from other sites aren't supported yet, and private or age-restricted videos can't be read. If a supported link still fails, tap Try again — extraction occasionally times out on very long videos. If it keeps failing, send us the link.

My fridge scan missed some items

Scanning works best with good lighting and items facing the camera. You can always add or correct items by hand — tap Add manually on the Fridge tab. Corrections don't count against your scan allowance.

Allergies and dietary needs

Set these under You → Allergies and Dietary preferences. We filter meal plans against them. Please still check ingredients yourself before cooking — recipes come from creators, and we can't guarantee a third-party recipe lists every ingredient correctly.

Managing or cancelling your subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so they're managed in your store account:

• iPhone / iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Fridge Panda.
• Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

You can also tap Manage under You → Subscription in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Refunds

Because Apple and Google process the payment, refunds are handled by them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple) or through Play Store order history (Google). Email us if you're stuck and we'll do what we can to help.

Restoring purchases on a new device

Sign in with the same account, then tap Restore purchases on the plans screen.

Deleting your account

In the app: You → Delete account. This permanently removes your recipes, plans, and data. You can also start the request at fridgepanda.com/delete-account.
